About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist position is primarily responsible for processing new hire orientation paperwork, handling unemployment claims, and other administrative tasks related to the department while acting in accordance with company values, vision, and mission. Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office software systems
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, analytical, and reasoning skills
  • Steel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years prior human resources experience required
  • A bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or other related fields required

Responsibilities

  • Completes data entry of new hire paperwork daily, including entering and auditing all appropriate information into the correct systems
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring both the electronic and historical filing system
  • Handles subpoenas and unemployment claims, which includes participation in phone hearings and verifying/tracking open and closed claims for field employees
  • Process and updates wage changes for Flagger Force employees
  • Reviewing requests, developing and issuing disciplinary documents for field staff
  • Perform special projects as needed or assigned by Manager
  • Conduct, attend, and participate in various department meetings as necessary
  • Exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and clients
  • Work with accuracy, efficiency and close attention to detail
