About The Position

The Hub Helper works in the Distribution department, loading and unloading parts delivered to the distribution center and supporting inventory organization, stocking, and space management. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to solve issues independently with minimal supervision. The Hub Helper works closely under the direction of the Night Cross Dock Driver and completes tasks assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager. The position is non-exempt. Previous experience is beneficial but not required; training and equipment will be provided.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to solve issues relating to stocking, organization, and space management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; lifting devices or assistance are required for heavier merchandise.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, and talk or hear regularly; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
• Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the Automotive Recycling Association's (ARA) part system.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts delivered to the distribution center.
• Work closely under the direction of the Night Cross Dock Driver.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks.
• Manage inventory efficiently and place items in an organized manner.
• Move vehicles and merchandise without damaging vehicles, merchandise, people, or property.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
• Complete tasks assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager quickly and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
