Responsibilities

  • Review architectural drawing sets, technical design specifications, engineering drawings, floor layouts, elevations, and Life Safety Plans across project phases.

  • Verify that facility and equipment designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and legislation, including OSHA, NFPA, IBC, and ADA requirements.
  • Manage regional HSE programs, initiatives, plans, playbooks, and standardized procedures for regulatory compliance and client safety needs.
  • Monitor Safety in Design performance, capture lessons, and help refine client design guides and safety standards.
  • Track and analyze injury, illness, and incident data and provide leadership and regional management with guidance on compliance, trends, and improvement strategies.
  • Establish work schedules and assign safety-related tasks to team members; coordinate work to meet objectives, quality expectations, and timelines.
  • Synthesize technical data and safety insights across disciplines to develop safer facility solutions.
  • Provide safety oversight during commissioning and handover, ensuring design-phase risk-control information is documented and transferred to operational end-users and maintenance teams.
  • Model professional behavior aligned with CBRE RISE Values and communicate technical HSE details and risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
  • Support the site safety manager with implementation and reporting on safety conditions.
  • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities.
