About The Position

Chelan High School is hiring a Girls JV Basketball Coach to help enhance students’ educational opportunities through athletics and promote the Chelan Athletic Department’s core values: Motivated, Open Minded, Respectful, and Engaged. The season runs from November 16, 2026, through March 6, 2027. Salary ranges from $4,675 to $5,636, based on prior documented school district experience in the same sport.

The coach will assist in delivering an organized, well-prepared program operated with integrity. Coaches are expected to use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience, build positive relationships with student-athletes, serve as a supportive role model and mentor, put students’ needs first, and promote the school district’s and athletic department’s vision, values, and mission.

Requirements

• Prior coaching and/or playing experience in basketball.
• Proven ability to coach at the high school level.
• Willingness to work with staff.
• Valid first aid and CPR card, or willingness to obtain one upon hiring.
• FBI, Washington State Patrol, and Sexual Misconduct background clearance.
