Requirements

  • Entering junior or senior year studies in an accredited bachelor’s program majoring in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or current MBA student
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required
  • Effective research and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interface with multiple levels of Essendant associates and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and learn across multiple HR disciplines through a rotational experience covering recruiting, benefits, compensation, business partnership, HR systems, and payroll.
  • Administrative support while serving associates in a highly professional and timely manner.
  • Manage and respond to incoming calls from internal associates and managers with responsibility for answering questions related to payroll, PTO, healthcare benefits, and other human resources related questions.
  • Effective utilization of HR case management technology to ensure consistent documentation and follow-up to meet service level standards.
  • Support the HR Services team with administrative processes including new hires, business unit transfers, service awards, manager changes and more.
  • Take on individual special projects as needed to enhance your knowledge and skills in Human Resources.
