About The Position

Our Job Corps programs provide life-changing services that help young people succeed in school, obtain good jobs, excel in their chosen fields, and serve as contributing members of their communities. We accomplish this through an intense commitment to safety, quality service, excellence, and partnerships. Participates in recruitment, screening and hiring program for all center staff; completes applicant for hire/promotion approval paperwork and sends to Corporate HR for approval. Coordinates and implements New Employee Orientation (NEO) program and ensures attendance by all new staff within the required PRH guidelines. Assists in preparation of all reports required by contract. Oversees/monitors candidate background checks and other compliancy documentation in hiring process. Prepares and makes job offers to applicants. Administers recruitment, screening and hiring program for all center staff. Ensures compliance with all contractual requirements relative to the human resources function. Maintains up-to-date and organized HR files, e.g., confidential, personnel, medical, training, I-9, driver’s license, and insurance paperwork. Assists with processing paperwork for new hires and terminations, including retirement report and forms when applicable. Assists with conducting benefits enrollment and orientation for new employees and informing new employees of available insurance benefits, procedures, etc. Performs HR administrative and clerical duties, answer phones, receive visitors to office; provide job information to applicants. Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills. Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property. Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility. Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning. Attends all required staff training opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One-year related experience required
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
