About The Position

The HR Specialist & Administrative Support coordinator provides day‑to‑day HR support for hourly employees while assisting with administrative customer service and production‑related tasks. This role ensures smooth communication between HR, operations, and customer service, supports hiring and onboarding, and maintains accurate documentation to meet compliance and audit requirements. The position is primarily HR‑focused, with administrative responsibilities supporting customer service and production as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in HR, customer service, or manufacturing administration preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • High attention to detail and organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Basic ERP navigation (D365 preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of HR practices and employment regulations.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Work in both office and production floor environments.
  • Occasional schedule flexibility to support operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for hourly employees on the early shift for basic HR questions (attendance, timekeeping, policy clarification).
  • Support hourly recruiting: applicant coordination, interview scheduling, offer letter preparation, and new hire paperwork.
  • Assist with onboarding logistics: orientation prep, badge/access setup, and documentation completion.
  • Maintain confidential HR files and support weekly payroll processing.
  • Enter and track data in HRIS/ATS (Workday) under HR leadership.
  • Assist with posting open positions and coordinating with Talent Acquisition.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state employment regulations.
  • Escalate employee relations issues to HR leadership.
  • Support HR programs, employee engagement initiatives, and company events.
  • Provide administrative support for customer inquiries via phone, email, and in‑person communication.
  • Enter and maintain customer orders in Microsoft D365.
  • Coordinate with production and shipping teams to provide accurate customer updates.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain customer records.
  • Assist production leadership with administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Coordinate communication between production, HR, and customer service.
  • Support scheduling, workforce planning, and staffing documentation.
  • Track production metrics and distribute reports.
  • Assist with inventory documentation and production records.
  • Support safety training documentation and compliance tracking.
  • Maintain a professional and positive work environment.
  • Ensure accuracy of records, reports, and communications.
  • Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
