About The Position

Receives and responds to inbound calls and emails from employees, retirees, and the general public answering questions related to Human Resources.

Requirements

• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and practices.
• Knowledge of personal computer/software, HRIS system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skilled in data entry and data analysis.
• Skilled in critical thinking to solve problems by generating, evaluating, and implementing solutions.
• Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing to provide regular, consistent, and meaningful information.
• Ability and integrity to work with highly confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work within strict time deadlines and with competing priorities.
• Ability to identify process and procedural issues and propose solutions.
• Ability to foster relationships within the unit and HR and across functional areas.
• General knowledge of employment laws and regulations, such as but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, FLSA and USERRA.

Responsibilities

• Receives calls and emails and provides personalized customer service by responding to the needs of the caller or escalates/routes to others who can assist.
• Tracks all calls and emails to provide reports on usage and other related information.
• De-escalates situations involving dissatisfied individuals offering support and assistance.
• Guides callers through navigating the institutions' various platforms to include UT Health Performs, UT Health Learns, Kronos, and Benefit Focus.
• Collaborate across all area of Human Resources to enhance process improvements.
• Participate in special projects, as assigned, that enable the Office of Human Resources to contribute to the realization of UT Health goals.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
