About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position for an HR Recruiter at a Utilities Company, running from July 2026 to January 2027. The role is primarily on-site in Tampa, with one remote day per week. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A PHR or SPHR certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment/Staffing, or Human Resources, with a strong understanding of the full recruitment life cycle. Experience recruiting in a corporate environment or a mix of corporate and agency settings is preferred. The role involves partnering with business leaders, developing recruitment strategies, sourcing and screening candidates, conducting pre-screening interviews, and managing interview logistics.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Talent Acquisition, Recruitment/Staffing or Human Resources experience with an understanding of full life cycle recruitment.
  • Effective understanding in how to consult with and be a value-add partner to the BU leaders for organizations of support, in addition to screening and sourcing skills.
  • High degree of initiative, proactive in nature, results oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Solid project management and organization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport quickly.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and agility to multi-task and prioritize are essential.
  • Applicant Tracking System and proactive sourcing experience is ideal.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience Recruiting in a Corporate environment or a combination of Corporate and Agency environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal TA Team and occasionally with business leaders to understand position and business requirements.
  • Support effective recruitment strategies to identify and attract top talent through a fair and inclusive recruitment process.
  • Source and screen candidate applications and job postings to match applicants with job requirements.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews with candidates.
  • Prepare interview guides, schedule interviews, reserve locations, send calendar invites, prepare materials and manage overall logistics for interviews.
  • Maintain communication with candidates.
