About The Position

The Human Resources Project Manager will collaborate with the Electrification Distribution Solutions North America business line (ELDS NAM) to execute the ELDS NAM People strategy. Initial projects are focused on talent development at all levels of the organization (early talent, production, leadership and everything in between), workforce planning, AI impact on workforce, and process improvements. This role will support the effective management and delivery of a portfolio of projects to meet current year commitments, as part of a multi-year people and talent strategy. The expectation is the HR Project Manager will be the go-to resource working across the ELDS North America HR team to lead end-to-end project management, including: project definition (scope/charter/timeline), manage project cadence & progress, risk/mitigation, and accountability to ensure project delivery. Candidates for this role will need to be able to work a hybrid in-person schedule out of our Cary, NC office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree & Project Management certification (PMP), or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project management
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and collaborating effectively within cross functional teams.
  • Proficient with data and analytics tools, leveraging project management tools and AI to drive efficiency & effectiveness.
  • Candidates must have work authorization in the US.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of tasks priority.
  • Self-starter, highly analytical, strong problem-solving skills, and team player.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and capable of quickly responding to changing circumstances.
  • Good relationship building capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to drive accountability, using data and storytelling to influence.

Nice To Haves

  • Foundational knowledge of the human resource function or experience in project management for HR.
  • 2+ years of work experience or project management in human resource function, ideal candidate would have experience implementing talent and/or workforce planning projects
  • Background in people analytics, digital tools, or AI applications.
  • Experience with M&A, business transformation or integration
  • Bi-lingual in English & Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of HR projects, effectively prioritizing and supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Lead project teams by defining guidelines, allocating tasks, and coordinating internal and external resources.
  • Organize and manage timelines and schedules, ensuring delivery against milestones.
  • Develop project charters and detailed project plans, ensuring structured execution across all project phases.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively within cross-functional and matrixed environments.
  • Communicate relevant project information in a timely manner to ensure alignment, engagement, and support.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and enable decision-making.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate stakeholder involvement.
  • Maintain robust project governance, including proper documentation in Teams/SharePoint.
  • Leverage project management tools, data analytics, and AI to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance HR processes and ways of working.
