In this role, you will work closely with the Head of HR - Vantive Canada and will be responsible for the execution of various HR functions including payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding new employees, and front-line HR support.

Requirements

  • College Diploma in HR Management, Accounting or Business Administration
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on payroll, benefits or HR
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills; projection of professional image and credibility; teamwork oriented, flexible and inclusive
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Expert in MS Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
  • Health care, pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience preferred.
  • Global organization experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with Dayforce, Workday.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and manage payroll for all employees (approx 200), ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks, maintain payroll records, and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or issues, collaborating with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Process Month End and Year End payroll and accounting related activities.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation sessions and assisting with paperwork completion.
  • Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures following legal requirements and industry-standard processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Producing employment letters and providing reports and analyzing/auditing HR data.
  • Maintaining accurate HRIS data and liaising with global centers of excellence as needed.
  • Other projects as required.
