About The Position

MM is a global leader in consumer packaging. The Group provides packaging solutions for cartonboard and folding cartons with an attractive offer in kraft papers, uncoated fine papers, leaflets and labels. MM promotes sustainable development through innovative, recyclable packaging and paper products. We are seeking a highly motivated HR Payroll/Benefits Specialist to support our Americas HR Team! We are looking for someone who goes above and beyond with attention to detail in processing several US payrolls and someone who can interact with benefit vendors on a daily basis. This position can be located onsite in any one of our NC plants, Greensboro, Charlotte or Clayton, NC!

Requirements

3+ years of experience processing multi-state payrolls and administering employee benefit programs.
Working knowledge of HRIS, payroll and benefit administration systems.
3-6 years of payroll and benefits administration experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, benefit compliance and HR practices.
Able to work independently while managing payroll and benefit processes while partnering effectively with HR, Finance, employees and third-party vendors.

Responsibilities

Process payroll calculations, audits, perform reconciliations, tax withholdings, garnishments and year end reporting for several US payrolls.
Support our Human Resources managers in working with benefit vendors on a daily basis.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll and benefits processes, controls and efficiency.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, benefits issues and vendor related concerns.
Work with a high level of urgency, accuracy and confidentiality when handling employee sensitive information.
