Requirements

  • Minimum 2 or more years of payroll processing experience
  • Minimum 2 or more years of Human Resources experience.
  • Financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • High level of integrity, ethical character, and honesty in all actions.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • SAP payroll, Success Factors, and other HR-related systems experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) by the American Payroll Association
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Support production and HR and other departments as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and a wide range of payroll support to team members while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the payroll data.
  • Weekly processing of all payroll activities.
  • Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly reports to Accounting.
  • Assisting with time and attendance software.
  • Supporting the recruitment process as needed.
  • Assisting department supervisors.
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings and events.
  • Running reports.
  • Weekly processing of payroll activities; preparation, filing, and reconciliation of quarterly/ annual federal and state tax returns; month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing; preparing W2s; and wage garnishment processing.
  • Assist with the administration of various company-sponsored programs/projects (company events, service awards, scholarships, educational reimbursement, etc.) as well as maintaining records and document retention.
  • Administering multi-state FMLA, Sick Pay, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance claims.
  • Maintaining current cross-training within all HR functions to provide backup as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
