About The Position

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting our employees and ensuring our HR and payroll operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for payroll administration, employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, recruiting support, HR compliance, and day-to-day employee relations. Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources and payroll experience.
  • Experience processing payroll for 100+ employees, preferably in multiple states.
  • Working knowledge of California employment laws (Nevada and New York experience is a plus).
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as Paychex, ADP, UKG, Rippling, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
  • Experience participating in HRIS or payroll system implementations.
  • Experience with Paylocity is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process and oversee accurate multi-state payroll for approximately 300 employees.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Paylocity, including payroll, employee records, onboarding, benefits administration, time and attendance, and HR workflows.
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding.
  • Administer employee benefits, retirement plans, and leave programs.
  • Assist with recruiting, including creating job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR procedures.
  • Support employee relations by addressing routine HR matters and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Prepare HR and payroll reports for management.
  • Assist with payroll audits, year-end processing, and other administrative projects.
  • Support continuous improvement of HR and payroll processes, including HRIS enhancements and system updates.
