[Part-time + Remote-friendly] HR & Operations Specialist [Taiwan Office]

About The Position

Labfront empowers researchers and clinicians to collect, analyze, and understand biometric data using wearables and digital tools. We support research teams worldwide and are growing our operations team in Taiwan. We’re hiring an organized, reliable Operations & HR Specialist to take over day-to-day administrative operations, Taiwan HR compliance, payroll, and office coordination. You’ll keep Labfront running smoothly, ensure we meet Taiwan labor requirements, and support our hybrid global team. The core of this role is part-time but can grow into a full-time if qualifications are met and expectations are exceeded. NOTE: Salary based on 30 hours and could extend to full-time, but currently the expected work is between 15-25 hours.

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years in operations, HR, admin, or people ops
  • Strong knowledge of Taiwan labor law, NHI, labor insurance, payroll processes
  • Experience working with local CPAs and government systems
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel
  • Strong communication skills (Mandarin + English)
  • Reliable, organized, and able to independently manage multiple workflows

Responsibilities

  • Manage Taiwan HR processes (onboarding, off-boarding, contracts, track days off/overtime, labor/NHI updates)
  • Handle monthly payroll prep, salary calculations, tax/insurance updates
  • Coordinate with CPA for bookkeeping, reimbursements, and reports
  • Maintain HR documentation, employee records, compliance tracking, etc.
  • Improve workflows with SOPs, templates, dashboards, and automation
  • Administrative support for planning events, purchasing, communicating with Taiwan vendors, etc.
