About The Position

Humani HR is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team of modern-thinking HR professionals. This role will provide day-to-day HR support to HR Business Partners for multiple clients across various jurisdictions and industries. The HR Generalist will be responsible for finding and implementing customized solutions to complex people and culture problems. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, organization, and data analysis skills. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, with opportunities to create HR policies and programs from the ground up. Humani HR operates primarily remotely, with occasional onsite client work or local/international travel for in-person collaboration.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years in a client-facing HR support role.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience processing multiple payrolls of varied sizes across numerous jurisdictions and platforms.
  • A minimum of 1 year of full-cycle high-volume recruitment (6-10 requisitions at any given time) experience.
  • A degree or diploma in HR or related field.
  • Well-versed in respective Employment legislation, and other relevant regulations (Health and Safety, Pay Equity, Accessibility Act, Worker’s Compensation, etc.).
  • Self-motivated and the ability to be flexible to meet client needs, and project deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data, documents, reports, etc., with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to make deliverables (documents, PowerPoints, reports, etc.) client-ready.
  • A true passion for HR: this means staying up to date with trends in the market and having an interest in how HR will evolve 10 to 15 years from now.
  • Ability to work through a problem with limited information and to take a problem or situation to the next steps.
  • Organizational skills: clients rely on our team to be very organized and efficient in their approach to solving the client's problem and implementing the solutions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: interact with many of the client's employees at various levels of the organization and must provide exceptional and professional customer service at all times.
  • Experience with HR systems & programs including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, HRIS, and Payroll software.
  • A working knowledge of project management principles and best practices is ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to HR Business Partners, including onboarding, offboarding, general HR administration, payroll processing, employee relations and investigations, health and safety program management.
  • Ensure all HR processes align with local employment laws and compliance standards across different jurisdictions.
  • Create and implement HR policies, handbooks, and Health and Safety programs.
  • Support HR Audits.
  • Manage client recruitment efforts, including preparing job outlines, reviewing resumes, conducting preliminary interviews, coordinating client interviews, conducting reference checks, and drafting offer letters.
  • Source candidates.
  • Review and manage client HR software updates and changes.
  • Spearhead HRIS implementation where necessary.
  • Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other client support software.
  • Support client HR programs, including performance management processes, compensation plan analysis and design, and ad hoc requests.
  • Assist in KPI reporting and project tracking.
  • Provide onsite HR support to clients, including attending team meetings, workplace investigations, and inspections.
