About The Position

This is a pro-bono Unpaid volunteer position. JERSEYSTEM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing STEM education to middle school girls in underrepresented communities across New Jersey. Through partnerships with socially responsible companies, youth organizations, and civic-minded college students, we deliver innovative, hands-on and online after-school projects that develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and self-esteem. Join our mission as a Human Resource Generalist to support the HR and Talent teams with planning, organizing and directing human resources activities in support of the mission of the organization.

Requirements

• 1+ years broad Human Resources experience with exposure to HR Operations
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Well organized, with strong attention to detail
• Comfort supporting a virtual HR team
• Resourceful and creative
• Weekly Hours: 3-6 hours per week
• Minimum Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities

• Work with the Senior HR Generalist on human resources operations and develop and implement effective HR processes across the organization.
• Serve as a liaison between the HR team and the rest of the organization.
