About The Position

This position supports the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and serves as a key resource for hospital leadership and staff. This position is responsible for a wide range of HR functions including HR administrative duties, performance management, benefits administration, leave management, compliance, training, and policy administration. The HR Generalist ensures adherence to employment laws including NPEA, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies while fostering a positive and productive work environment that supports quality patient care.

Requirements

AA Degree or equivalent experience
Three (3) years of experience in human resources, healthcare or general business setting.
Positive working relationships with others
Possession of high ethical standards
Reliable and dependable; reports to work as scheduled without excessive absences
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with accurate spelling and grammar
Ability to manage sensitive and highly confidential information
Ability to exercise sound judgment in daily office operations
Knowledge in managing multiple assignments of considerable difficulty or complexity
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work as a key team member with a diverse group of professional staff at all levels
Proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint
Able to complete service recovery actions as related to HR operations.
Ability to manage high level projects
Comfortable speaking to the public and general presentation skills
Achieve above-satisfactory score on all job interviews, demonstrating to the satisfaction of the interviewees and TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
Successful completion of and positive results from all background and reference checks, including positive employment references from authorized representatives of past and current employers demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC a record of satisfactory performance and that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
Successful completion of fingerprint clearance requirements, physical examinations, and other screenings indicating that the applicant is qualified to be employed by TCRHCC and demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
Submission of all required employment-related documents, applications, resumes, references, and other required information free of false, misleading or incomplete information, as determined by TCRHCC.
Excellent customer service skills with no history of complaints
This position requires an individual that can maintain a long and flexible schedule to meet the leadership requirements also requires frequent movement between the program office spaces and requires travel.
Includes long periods sitting in meetings; frequent standing, walking, kneeling, maintaining balance, and occasional driving, reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching and twisting.
Must be able to lift, push and pull frequently up to 24 pounds and occasionally over 100 pounds of equipment.
Must have ability of prolonged near vision, seeing fine details, hearing normal speech, hearing overhead pages, frequent far vision, color vision, depth perception and telephone use.
Must have ability to use both hands in prolonged simple and firm grasping, prolonged use of keyboard and frequent fine manipulation.
Must be able to prioritize and use good judgment and coordinate a variety of issues while being frequently interrupted.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively and act with tact and composure in stressful situations.
Must have ability to continuously concentrate, handle high degree of flexibility, work alone, frequently cope with high levels of stress, make decisions under high pressure, cope with anger, fear, hostility of others in a calm way, manage altercations, demonstrate high degree of patience, adapt to shift work, and work in areas that are close and crowded.

Responsibilities

Works with minimal direction in performing HR Generalist duties in a responsible and confidential matter.
Provides high-level, confidential support to HR Leadership.
Serves as a point of contact for employee concerns, questions, and workplace issues.
Provide guidance to supervisors and employees regarding policies, procedures, and employment practices.
Conduct workplace investigations and assist in resolving employee relations matters.
Support disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination processes.
Promote employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
Assist employees with benefit enrollments and benefit related inquiries.
Coordinate employee wellness and health promotion programs.
Assist leadership with performance evaluation processes.
Support employee development and succession planning initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and tribal laws and regulations.
Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in accordance with organizational standards.
Assist with policy development, implementation, and communication.
Prepare HR reports, workforce metrics, and statistical analyses.
Maintain employee information in HRIS.
Process personnel actions including transfers, promotions, salary changes, and separations.
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of employee information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
