About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist position supports Corporate, Retail Stores, Distribution Centers, and manufacturing operations. This role performs a wide range of human resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR systems management. The HR Generalist plays a key role in ensuring accurate records, supporting employee needs, and helping execute HR programs across multiple locations.

Requirements

  • 4+ yrs of HR experience, this includes leave management experience
  • Advanced PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in HR is preferred
  • HR Certification (SHRM CP or PHR) preferred
  • ADP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support a full range of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, PTO, and 401(k); ensure accurate enrollment, maintenance, and compliance across both union and non-union populations.
  • Coordinate and manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, pre-employment screening, new hire documentation, and orientation, ensuring alignment with company practices and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
  • Partner with hiring managers to support full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing, distribution, retail, and corporate roles, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer administration.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records within the HRIS (e.g., ADP Workforce Now), including seniority tracking, job classifications, pay rates, and personnel file documentation in accordance with union and legal requirements.
  • Provide employee relations support by conducting or assisting with workplace investigations, documenting findings, and supporting disciplinary actions up to and including termination, ensuring compliance with company policy and union requirements.
  • Administer and manage employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, Oregon Paid Leave (PLO), OFLA (as applicable), ADA accommodations, and short-term disability.
  • Administer compliance-related programs such as random drug testing, background checks, regulatory postings, and required reporting across multi-site operations.
  • Plan and support employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, events, and communication efforts that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture across diverse operational environments.
