Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR generalist or HR operations experience
  • Working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA)
  • Hands-on HRIS experience (UKG preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Curiosity and comfort with AI tools and emerging technology.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted, frontline HR partner for employees and managers across various business groups
  • Execute end-to-end onboarding and offboarding logistics, including background checks, I-9s, IT coordination, Day 1 communications, exit interviews, and systems offboarding
  • Support employees in navigating benefits questions, including general health plan information, open enrollment, and COBRA
  • Coordinate leave of absence programs, managing intake, monitoring, and return-to-work logistics
  • Handle workers’ comp intake and tracking, and support OSHA compliance reporting
  • Support compliance requirements including FLSA audits, SOX requests, and compliance training coordination
  • Process unemployment claims and respond to employment verification requests in a timely manner
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, automations, and emerging technologies to streamline HR workflows
  • Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS — processing lifecycle changes, EFM uploads, and personnel updates
  • Partner with HR leadership to ensure consistent application of HR policies and alignment with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including company events and volunteering activities
  • Own or support various People & Culture initiatives during your tenure (training, compliance, employee experience, feedback, reporting, etc.)
  • Grow into employee relations, engagement programs, and talent management as stretch opportunities in partnership with the Director of Talent Management
