The HR Generalist will develop strong relationships with operations group departments to assist in employee relations efforts and provide counseling to employees as necessary. This role will assist with recruiting for hourly, administrative, and management positions, participating in interviews and helping staff create job-related interview questions. The Generalist will provide research and statistical information, collect, prepare, and analyze data for policy and procedure implementation, and review employee complaints, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. They will also assist in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures, maintaining the employee handbook, and contributing to department goals and systems. This position supports the HR Manager with internal employee activities, maintains the HR information system, and assists with training and development programs, including creating and conducting training sessions. Additionally, the HR Generalist will provide assistance with day-to-day benefits administration, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support safety and wellness initiatives. The role involves participating in administrative staff meetings and other relevant meetings. Commitment to safety is paramount, with managers and supervisors accountable for a safe work environment. The position also includes food safety responsibilities, leading by example to ensure high-quality manufacturing practices, GMP policies, and that team members produce contamination-free products, report suspicious activities, and inspect work areas for contamination issues. While this position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, it serves as a coach and mentor.
