About The Position

Vault 44.01 (“Vault”) is a leading carbon capture & storage (“CCS”) developer focused on the development, capitalization, and operation of carbon storage assets throughout North America. Vault’s team brings over 90 years of direct carbon storage experience, with involvement in the development of carbon storage projects across North America since 2007. Vault’s capabilities span technical analysis, project design, permitting, stakeholder engagement, land leasing and acquisition, facility construction, and operations. In collaboration with our industrial partners, we are currently developing CCS projects in the US Midwest, US Southeast, and Canada, focusing on single CO2 source, near-site sequestration projects and including 7 projects currently under contract. Vault has secured a US$300 million equity capital commitment from Grey Rock Investment Partners (Dallas, TX based private equity company) and has offices in Denver, CO and Calgary, AB.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a senior HR generalist, HR manager, or people operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, payroll, reporting, and performance management.
  • Experience working with Mercer for benchmarking.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Understanding of payroll legislation, employment standards, statutory deductions, taxable benefits, vacation pay, overtime, and payroll remittances.
  • Experience using BambooHR or a similar HRIS platform.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and deadline-driven with the ability to work well independently
  • Excellent work ethic, with the ability to multitask and manage competing and changing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working independently.
  • Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in a small to mid-sized organization is an asset, particularly in a hands-on HR role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offer support to the job owner.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and recruitment priorities.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with employees and managers to support engagement, morale, communication, and workplace culture.
  • Act as a trusted HR contact for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related questions and concerns.
  • Support leadership and managers in creating action plans based on employee feedback.
  • Use BambooHR to support onboarding, offboarding, time-off tracking, employee changes, reporting, and performance management processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all employee, payroll, and HR records.
  • Complete and submit payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist the Executive Assistant with team event planning.
