About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist—Recruiter is responsible for effectively finding qualified candidates to fill open positions. The Recruiter will take part in employee relations activities that impact employee engagement and retention. Report, track, and maintain unemployment and workers compensation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate interview schedules, recruiting events, including nights and weekends.
  • Professional Certification preferred, e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and G Suite products.
  • Alignment with Purpose & Pillars of BWB.

Responsibilities

  • Fill open positions through creative recruiting processes.
  • Source qualified candidates to interview for open positions.
  • Recommend recruiting strategy.
  • Stay current with recruiting and external market trends.
  • Following the SOP, establish collaborative relationships with hiring managers.
  • Be an ambassador for Better World Books in the community, at job fairs, and recruiting events.
  • Report, track, and maintain unemployment cases and attend hearings as needed.
  • Report, track, and maintain workers’ compensation cases.
  • Advocate for employees.
  • Seek opportunities to represent Better World Books.
  • All other duties as assigned.
