About The Position

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team in Miramar, Florida. This role will provide comprehensive HR support to the local Distribution Center (DC) and partner closely with the Regional Latin America Commercial teams. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English and passionate about supporting a diverse, multicultural workforce across key markets in Latin America. The role serves as the primary contact for the Miramar DC and supports Regional HR Initiatives for the Latin America Commercial & Operations team. It involves administering core HR functions, partnering with business leaders to implement HR programs, maintaining knowledge of U.S. employment laws, collaborating with local country HR team members in Latin America, supporting cross-border HR projects, facilitating employee communications and training, and assisting with HR data reporting and process improvements. The position also focuses on fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture and managing HR system updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a multinational or distribution/logistics environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with Latin American HR practices is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting remote or regional teams across multiple countries.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for the Miramar DC and support Regional HR Initiatives for the Latin America Commercial & Operations team.
  • Administer core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Partner with business leaders to implement HR programs that drive engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance at the Miramar DC.
  • Partner with local country HR team members in Latin America as needed to address country-specific requirements, ensuring effective collaboration and support for regional initiatives.
  • Support cross-border HR projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with local and regional policies and practices.
  • Facilitate employee communications and training sessions in both English and Spanish.
  • Assist with HR data reporting, analytics, and process improvements.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects SBD values.
  • Manage/update occurrences updates in Kronos with documentation from supervisors.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
