About The Position

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team in Miramar, Florida. This role will provide comprehensive HR support to the local Distribution Center (DC) and partner closely with the Regional Latin America Commercial teams. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English and passionate about supporting a diverse, multicultural workforce across key markets in Latin America. The role serves as the primary contact for the Miramar DC and supports Regional HR Initiatives for the Latin America Commercial & Operations team. It involves administering core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Generalist will partner with business leaders to implement HR programs that drive engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations for the Miramar DC. Collaboration with local country HR team members in Latin America is expected to address country-specific requirements and ensure effective support for regional initiatives. The role also supports cross-border HR projects, facilitates employee communications and training in English and Spanish, and assists with HR data reporting, analytics, and process improvements. Fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects SBD values is also a key aspect of the position. Specific duties include managing/updating occurrences in Kronos with documentation from supervisors and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting new hire orientation. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a multinational or distribution/logistics environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law; familiarity with Latin American HR practices is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting remote or regional teams across multiple countries.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.
