About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist II serves as the sole on-site HR representative for R3's Virginia Beach, VA or Niceville, FL office, reporting remotely to the HR Director based in San Diego, CA. The role also manages the office's day-to-day operations and vendor relationships (e.g., cleaning and facility services). Onboarding, job postings, orientation logistics, employee training, benefit administration and payroll support. This position provides on-site support for those activities as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible HR experience, including exposure to offboarding, benefits administration, or compliance training coordination.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound, independent judgment on HR matters with minimal on-site supervision, reporting to an HR Director based in a different location.
Experience maintaining HRIS platforms and employee data records.
Comfort managing office operations and vendor relationships (e.g., facility, cleaning, or other service vendors).
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly for payroll and compliance-related data.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting government contractors or organizations subject to federal compliance requirements.
Experience with HRIS implementation, optimization, or process automation initiatives.
Prior experience serving as the sole HR representative in a remote or satellite office.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site HR point of contact for employees and management, exercising independent judgment in interpreting and applying HR policy to day-to-day situations, and escalating significant or sensitive matters to the HR Director as appropriate.
Manage the full offboarding and separation process, including exit logistics, final pay coordination, COBRA and benefits-continuation notices, and unemployment claim responses.
Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, eligibility questions, and day-to-day plan administration, in coordination with the HR Director and benefits carriers.
Own compliance with sexual harassment prevention training requirements, including scheduling sessions, tracking completion, and maintaining required documentation.
Maintain and update the payroll spreadsheet, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of compensation data prior to submission.
Prepare and run HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, training and compliance tracking) for the HR Director and leadership.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data, and process employment verification requests for current and former employees.
Assist with administration of applicable leave programs (e.g., FMLA and other federal or Virginia/Florida leave requirements) for employees at the site.
Provide on-site support for new-hire onboarding (e.g., first-day logistics, workspace setup, local documentation such as Form I-9 review) for employees based in this office.
Participate in special HR projects and perform additional duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Manage day-to-day office operations for the site, including coordinating with vendors such as cleaning/janitorial services and other facility vendors to keep the office running smoothly.
Order and maintain office supplies and coordinate deliveries to support an organized, efficient workplace.
Serve as the on-site point of contact for facility-related needs, escalating vendor or building issues as appropriate.
