About The Position

The HR Generalist (HRG I) at Doble-Megger provides administrative and operational support for the Human Resources department across multiple functional areas, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, reporting, training coordination, and employee communications. This position serves as a primary point of contact for routine employee and applicant inquiries and helps ensure the efficient execution of HR processes and programs. Working under general supervision, the HR Generalist (HRG I) maintains employee records, processes HR transactions, supports recruiting and onboarding activities, assists with HR reporting and compliance efforts, and delivers exceptional internal customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. This position is located at the Doble-Megger facility in Marlborough, MA and reports to the Director, HR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; or a combination of equivalent experience and certification
  • 0-2 years of Human Resources, administrative, recruiting, or related experience
  • Previous experience working in an office environment
  • Proficiency in computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Possess understanding of Human Resources practices
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, both in written and oral communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of human resources principles and practices
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications, and interview logistics
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and ensure candidate information is current and accurate
  • Assist with candidate screenings, background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment testing
  • Support college recruiting activities, career fairs, and recruiting events as needed
  • Ensure job descriptions and job postings are maintained and properly formatted
  • Support new hire onboarding activities and documentation including new hire orientation and timely completion of required forms and acknowledgments
  • Complete Form I-9 verification and maintain employment eligibility records
  • Support onboarding schedules, employee communications, and new hire resources.
  • Support offboarding as needed
  • Maintain personnel files and employee records in accordance with company policies and retention requirements
  • Process routine employee transactions, including status changes, promotions, transfers, and organizational updates
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information
  • Support HR document management and electronic filing systems
  • Review and reconcile time and attendance records
  • Maintain administrator access and user permissions across HR technology platforms, such as recruiting, onboarding, and performance management
  • Represent the company and core values with a positive attitude
  • Respond to routine employee and applicant inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Provide administrative support for employee communications and HR initiatives
  • Route employee concerns and more complex HR matters to the appropriate HR team member
  • Assist with employee recognition programs, service anniversaries, and engagement activities
  • Assist with benefits, compensation and payroll, as needed
  • Assist HR subsidiaries bridging gaps and/or support during atypically high-volume time
  • Prepare routine HR reports including headcount, recruiting metrics, training, and performance management reporting ensuring data accuracy
  • Ensure HR records and documentation are complete, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance reviews
  • Support EEO, affirmative action, VETS-4212 and regulatory reporting activities as assigned
  • Assist with employee training schedules and registrations
  • Track training completion and maintain training records
  • Assist with compliance training administration and reporting
  • Support HR programs, events, open enrollment activities, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Participate in departmental projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
