About The Position

ConnectedHR is growing and seeking an experienced HR Director Consultant to join their award-winning team. This role is available as both full-time and part-time, W-2 employment, with a consistent, ongoing schedule supporting clients onsite during standard business hours. ConnectedHR provides fractional HR support to small to mid-size companies, partnering closely with leadership teams to deliver strategic and hands-on HR solutions. This is an opportunity for seasoned HR leaders who thrive in a client-facing environment, balancing strategy, execution, and advisory responsibilities across complex business challenges. Our consultants are highly experienced HR professionals, strategic thinkers who can operate both strategically and tactically, confident advisors to executives and business owners, and are collaborative, accountable, and results-driven.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR Business Partner or HR leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and HR systems implementation and optimization.
  • Strong working knowledge across all core HR functions.
  • Executive presence with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Deep business acumen with the ability to align HR solutions to operational goals.
  • Ability to travel locally to client sites throughout the Cleveland metro area.
  • Professional, confident, and highly collaborative.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • HR certification (SPHR of SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical HR consulting aligned to business goals.
  • Advise executives and leadership teams on complex HR matters.
  • Act as a working consultant across strategy, project execution, and day-to-day HR operations.
  • Lead HR projects, including systems implementation and process improvement.
  • Guide organizational design, change management, and leadership development.
  • Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Influence culture, engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Support recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives, including workforce planning, job description development, interview strategy, and hiring process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within ConnectedHR and ConnectedTALENT.
