About The Position

The LMS/eLearning Consultant will design, implement, manage, and optimize learning management system (LMS) and eLearning solutions to support organizational learning initiatives. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to analyze training needs, develop eLearning strategies, and ensure seamless technology integration to enhance employee engagement and performance outcomes. The ideal candidate has a blend of technical expertise, instructional design experience, and project management skills, with a proven track record of implementing eLearning solutions that align with organizational goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 years of experience in LMS administration, eLearning development, instructional design, or a related field.
Experience supporting enterprise LMS implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
Configuring and maintaining Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with LMS platforms
Managing user access, permissions, and roles within an LMS
Integrating third-party tools or plugins into the LMS environment
Ensuring compatibility between LMS platforms and eLearning content
Creating interactive eLearning modules using tools like Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or Camtasia
Designing multimedia content (e.g., video, animations, audio) for eLearning
Developing SCORM-compliant courses for seamless LMS integration
Editing and optimizing content for usability and engagement
Customizing templates and adhering to branding guidelines
Analyzing LMS-generated data to identify trends and performance insights
Using Tableau or Excel to visualize data for better decision-making and reporting
Creating dashboards to monitor and share key performance indicators (KPIs) with stakeholders
Generating reports to track user progress, engagement, and completion rates
Interpreting data trends to inform instructional design or program changes
Leading and managing cross-functional project teams
Planning project timelines and milestones
Applying methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2
Identifying and mitigating risks during a project lifecycle
Coordinating stakeholder communications and managing resource allocation
Understanding and implementing SCORM for compatibility with LMS
Working with AICC standards to ensure interoperability
Developing content using xAPI (Tin Can API) for advanced learning tracking
Ensuring compliance with eLearning standards for seamless integration and performance
Testing and troubleshooting compliance with eLearning delivery standards

Proficient in instructional design principles (ADDIE, SAM), curriculum development, and adult learning methodologies, with experience designing engaging and accessible online learning.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish, with familiarity in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks.
Experienced in data analysis for evaluating training needs, learning outcomes, and LMS performance, with knowledge of Learning Analytics and reporting tools.
Strong communicator with experience simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences and providing technical training and support.
Adept at building relationships, fostering teamwork, and influencing decisions to align projects with organizational goals.
Comfortable with change, adopting new technologies, and developing creative learning solutions in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Oversee the customization, deployment, and maintenance of LMS components associated with assigned projects.
Troubleshoot and work with the team to optimize system performance to ensure accessibility and functionality for all users.
Use the defined team quality assurance processes to ensure content meets design standards and organizational requirements.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and organizational leaders to analyze training needs and design eLearning solutions.
Develop eLearning strategies to align with organizational learning objectives and the strategic LMS and eLearning plan.
Design and develop interactive eLearning content using authoring tools and create detailed storyboards.
Ensure eLearning courses follow adult learning principles and align with compliance, technical, or developmental learning objectives.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and apply instructional design principles to create effective, engaging learning experiences.
Work with organizational stakeholders to assess learning needs, define goals for training, and deliver technology-enabled training solutions.
At the direction of the Learning Technology Manager and Sr. LMS/eLearning Consultant, work with the eLearning/LMS team to define LMS goals and plans for accomplishing these goals.
Act as a liaison between IT, HR, training teams, and end-users to facilitate a smooth experience for learners and leaders who monitor learning progress.
Provide training for end-users and leaders as directed by the Learning Technology Manager and SR. LMS/eLearning Consultant on LMS functionalities, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Develop user guides, documentation, and support resources to ensure successful LMS usage.
Monitor and analyze data from the LMS to assess learning engagement, system performance, and user feedback.
Prepare reports on training metrics to evaluate learning program success and inform strategic decisions.
Collaborate with team and IT to integrate the LMS with other organizational tools, such as HR systems, Single Sign-On (SSO), performance management platforms, etc.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in LMS and eLearning technologies.
Recommend and implement updates or changes to technology solutions to improve user experience and learning outcomes.
Work closely with stakeholders, including clinical and operational leaders, to define organizational learning objectives, identify performance gaps, and develop strategic plans.
Collaborate to ensure eLearning and Simulation Center initiatives align with broader organizational goals.
Use strategic goals to focus on creating immersive, hands-on learning experiences that improve competencies in high-stakes environments.
Conduct thorough needs assessments, including identifying skill gaps, performance deficiencies, and safety concerns that can be addressed through learning technology.
Develop tailored eLearning programs that address organizational challenges and support business outcomes.
Leverage data from real-world performance and stakeholder input to develop tailored simulation-based training programs that directly support organizational outcomes, enhance clinical skills, and improve team performance.
Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), including clinicians and technical specialists, to design eLearning experiences, and simulation scenarios that reflect real-world challenges.
Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create eLearning content, and high-fidelity, learner-centered simulation experiences that, integrate hands-on activities, role-playing, and problem-solving scenarios to deepen learner engagement and reinforce key competencies.
Oversee the design of detailed storyboards to outline eLearning course structure and simulation scenarios, including learner interactions, critical decision points, and debriefing elements.
Support the learning technology teams in developing multimedia components such as video scripts, interactive simulations, and scenario-based modules to enhance the realism and impact of the training, ensuring that these elements facilitate learning and knowledge retention.
Assist in the selection, deployment, and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS) to administer and track eLearning content, simulation-based training activities and performance outcomes.
Ensure that the LMS integrates seamlessly with simulation technologies to monitor learner progress, evaluate competencies, and provide feedback to instructors and learners.
Work with technical teams to ensure the system's usability and effectiveness in delivering and tracking eLearning and simulation-based learning.
Establish robust quality assurance processes for the overall learning experience for both eLearning and simulation, ensuring relevance, accuracy, and reflection of current best practices.
Work with the team to collect and analyze feedback from participants, instructors, and stakeholders to continuously improve eLearning and simulation scenarios, learning materials, and delivery methods, maintaining high standards for training effectiveness and learner satisfaction.
Lead and manage the development and delivery of eLearning and simulation-based training programs, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee resource allocation, timelines, and communication with stakeholders, while also managing the logistics of eLearning content development and simulation sessions, including scheduling, equipment, and space management.
Provide comprehensive training and support for LMS/eLearning staff and Simulation Center staff, instructors, and learners.
Offer troubleshooting and technical support for LMS, eLearning, and simulation equipment and systems to ensure smooth operation during launch, design/development, and training.
Create user-friendly guides and deliver workshops on how to use LMS, simulation tools and platforms effectively.
Implement strategies to assess the effectiveness of eLearning modules and simulation-based training programs through both qualitative and quantitative measures.
Track learner progress, assess skills development, and generate data-driven reports that highlight performance trends.
Use this information to continuously refine eLearning content and simulation scenarios, enhance learning outcomes, and ensure eLearning content and the Simulation Center remains aligned with evolving organizational needs.
