About The Position

As a member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in delivering best-in-class HR solutions and consultation to leaders and associates across the enterprise, while also serving as the regional HR country manager for Gartner Canada. Our HR professionals partner with business leaders to drive people strategies aligned with organizational goals, support change management initiatives, and ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies. You will also provide country and/or province-specific guidance regarding a variety of topics including compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • Business level fluency in English and French (written and verbal) is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., CPHR) ideal.
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Familiarity with the nuances of multiple provincial employment practices and requirements strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated HR skills and expertise (employee relations, talent management, compensation, recruitment, organizational development/design).
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver HR programs that address complex business challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global environment is highly valued.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Provide local expertise to guide best practices and ensure legal compliance in support of people programs and processes.
  • Lead internal communications for Canada, acting as a focal point for people announcements, policies and procedures.
  • Proactively manage legal risk and continually ensure compliance with local labor laws considering the whole life cycle of an associate, ensuring a consistent, compliant and effective associate experience.
  • Build and maintain effective, credible partnerships to educate HR Partners, managers and associates on a variety of employee related issues.
  • Be a partner for the HR Partner community on associate initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and associates, providing guidance on HR best practices and aligning people strategies with business objectives.
  • Partner with recruiting teams to attract and retain high-performing talent, leveraging data-driven strategies to minimize attrition and build robust talent pipelines.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and local legal requirements, proactively managing risk and supporting a culture of integrity and accountability.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, support talent review processes, and drive succession planning to ensure leadership continuity.
  • Guide leaders and associates through organizational changes, ensuring effective communication and smooth transitions.
  • Proactively address associate concerns, conduct thorough investigations, and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and foster a positive work environment.
  • When requested, provide support for HR investigation where interviews and other processes must be conducted in French. (Canada and rest of world)
  • Lead or support annual compensation planning, conduct market analyses, and collaborate with global partners to ensure competitive and equitable rewards.
