About The Position

The Bob Evans Farms HR Coordinator will function as a point of contact within the Human Resources department, assisting with key processes that support the employee’s lifecycle. This role will manage daily administrative tasks for Human Resources as well as the Bob Evans Farms facility, especially in the areas of onboarding and engagement, and overall widespread support for the HR and Facility team. The role directly interacts with current employees, potential employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with company peers and Bob Evans Farms partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Listening and informing others effectively; excellent negotiating and influencing skills at all levels both internal and external
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and interact with all levels of management across the organization
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction. Must be an initiative-taking self-starter
  • Must possess the ability to always maintain external and internal confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of ATS and/or HRIS system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Strong partnerships and assistance within the Human Resources team to assist with daily HR functions
  • Coordination and facilitation of new hire on-boarding activities for full-time employees and contractors, review new hire paperwork, and general data entry as needed
  • HR Compliance activities such as maintaining accurate employee files, i9 verifications and audits, and ensuring adherence to labor laws and required postings
  • Comprehensive understanding of laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, COBRA etc)
  • Ability to utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and other HRIS systems (Kronos, UltiPro, UKG)
  • Completes invoice processing and purchase orders
  • Assists with contractor set up, access and maintenance of visitor registry logs
  • Coordination of engagement events (employee engagement actives, safety celebrations, production achievements, etc.)
  • Assist with philanthropic & community events, tracking of volunteers and necessary paperwork
  • Performs administrative duties (calendar management, data entry, answering phones, photocopying, scanning filing, stocking supplies, etc.)
  • Manages the front desk including answering the multi-line telephone system, greeting & assisting guests, sorting and posting mail, and tracking security badges and other duties as assigned
