About The Position

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is looking to hire a Temporary Human Resources Coordinator to join the team in Simsbury, CT. The Human Resources Coordinator is effectively the first line of support to all EBAD employees in Simsbury and a key front-facing team member of the HR team.

  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive and professional presence to internal and external customers
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrates the initiative to provide possible solutions when faced with challenges
  • Ability to pick up new HR systems quickly
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in human resources or business preferred
  • experience using Workday and/or IFS is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Be first line of support for all employees and triage inquiries as necessary in a timely manner
  • Assist with day-to-day coordination of HR processes, programs, and initiatives
  • Own the pre-hire and onboarding process including new hire preparation, day one orientation and onboarding
  • Maintain accurate and timely entry of employee data within HR systems including Workday and IFS
  • Become Workday and IFS lead for the EBAD Simsbury HR Team; partner with Workday and IFS stakeholders to increase efficiency of HR processes
  • Coordinate coin recognition, service anniversary and tuition reimbursement programs
  • Maintain the HR staffing dashboard and various Workday and Excel reports as needed for the HR Team
