About The Position

The Human Resources (HR) Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting Human Resources compliance audits, monitoring compliance requirements, maintaining compliance reporting and documentation, and supporting the implementation of compliance initiatives. This position helps ensure Human Resources practices, policies, and documentation remain aligned with applicable federal, state, and local requirements and identifies compliance issues requiring follow-up or corrective action.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, compliance, auditing, or a related field
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and Human Resources compliance requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on time-sensitive requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with HR and Operations partners
Ability to develop strong professional and trustworthy relationships at all levels of the organization
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with HRIS systems

Responsibilities

Lead and conduct Human Resources compliance audits of records, certifications, notices, and other compliance requirements to ensure accuracy, adherence to established requirements, and completion within required deadlines.
Monitor audit results and compliance requirements, identify outstanding or non-compliant items, and follow up with locations to ensure timely resolution.
Communicate audit findings, compliance concerns, and required follow-up to the Sr. HR Business Partner and appropriate HR leadership.
Review employment practices and documentation for compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and Company policies.
Assist with researching changes to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the HR team.
Maintain compliance tracking and reporting and provide regular updates on audit results, outstanding items, trends, and areas requiring attention.
Support HRBPs and Operations with the implementation and follow-up of compliance initiatives and location action plans.
Support HR leadership and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with the review and maintenance of Human Resources policies, procedures, forms, and other compliance-related documentation.
Assist with incorporating approved updates to policies and documentation based on changes in applicable laws, regulations, or Company practices.
Support the preparation and distribution of compliance communications and materials for policy and compliance initiatives.
Utilize HRIS systems, including UKG and Power BI, to conduct audits, support reporting, identify compliance issues, and monitor compliance initiatives.
Develop, maintain, and review compliance-related reports and identify data discrepancies requiring follow-up.
Utilize the ticketing system to respond to, document, and track HR-related issues and requests.
Provide HR leadership and HRBPs with audit findings, compliance information, and follow-up as needed.
Communicate with HRBPs and Operations partners regarding audit results, compliance requirements, questions, and required follow-up.
Handle confidential Team Member and Company information appropriately.
Perform other related tasks or special projects as needed.
