About The Position

Works under the direction of the assigned manager with day-to-day oversight by the Division Director. Serves as the primary point of contact for employee and labor relations issues. Acts as a liaison between employees and various service centers within the assigned division and Human Resources. Makes recommendations to management regarding disciplinary actions in accordance with City Personnel Policies, laws and memorandums of understanding. Ensures that plans and strategic initiatives within the assigned division are administered in compliance with labor and employment federal, state, and local laws and relevant memorandums of understanding. Works independently by conducting employee investigations. Provides innovative solutions and professional support to division leadership with organizational and human resource issues that impact the business. Assists with preparation and auditing of the performance review process. Build partnerships with management at all levels of the organization to create an organizational culture that values all employees. Provides full cycle HR support to the division. Responds to inquiries related to employee separations (i.e., voluntary termination, involuntary termination, retirement, death) and assists with exit interviews as necessary. Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions. Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback. Builds overall support for HR initiatives and programs through communications with City divisions and employees.
