About The Position

We're hiring! Kemin is seeking an HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist serves as the primary Human Resources partner for Kemin Biologics while leading the execution of Learning and Development initiatives across North America. This role combines hands-on HR partnership with employees and leaders at the Lenexa site while partnering with business leaders, HR colleagues, and global Learning & Development leadership to implement learning strategies that build organizational capability and support business objectives. The position serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, supports employee engagement and development efforts, and ensures North America learning programs are effectively designed, delivered, measured, and continuously improved. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, 5+ years strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting managers on employee relations, performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives.
  • Experience facilitating training, workshops, or group discussions.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement learning programs.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence leaders across multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using HR systems and learning management systems preferred.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite HR resource for the Lenexa, Kansas facility.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding company policies, practices, and employee relations matters.
  • Build strong partnerships with managers through regular touchpoints, coaching, and workforce discussions.
  • Lead new employee onboarding and orientation activities for the site.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, analyze feedback, and facilitate action planning discussions.
  • Support performance management processes including goal setting, development planning, and manager coaching.
  • Coordinate investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee relations matters.
  • Monitor and communicate key HR metrics and workforce trends.
  • Partner with the Global Learning & Development Manager to implement global learning strategies throughout North America.
  • Develop and execute a North America Learning & Development roadmap aligned with business priorities and global strategy.
  • Design, facilitate, and evaluate leadership, professional development, and business skills training programs.
  • Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and recommend learning solutions.
  • Coordinate learning vendors, internal facilitators, and learning technologies.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on participant feedback, business needs, and outcomes.
  • Serve as a champion for employee development and continuous learning across North America.
