About The Position

Marvin is hiring an HR Business Partner for its new distribution center in Reno, Nevada. The role focuses on employee relations, engagement, benefits, training, and safety while working with local leaders to build a positive culture at the new location. The position collaborates with local leadership and the Total Rewards, Communications and Culture, and Leadership Development teams. It calls for a hands-on, empathetic leader who can help grow the new operation and their own career. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Reno location. Marvin is a family-owned and -led window and door manufacturer with operations in 19 cities across North America and more than 8,000 team members. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
Ability to manage information with integrity and confidentiality.
Ability to work successfully both independently and as a team member.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong digital literacy.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role preferred.
Professional certification preferred, such as SHRM, PHR, or SPHR.

Responsibilities

Provide mentorship and counsel to the HR team, developing team members and maintaining cohesion and consistency across the team.
Address employee complaints and concerns confidentially and with appropriate urgency, resolving employee relations issues.
Manage and support programs and events designed to improve workplace culture and positively affect recruitment and retention.
Ensure recruitment and retention efforts meet expectations and business needs.
Coordinate HR matters, including unemployment claims, accommodations, work restrictions, and return-to-work processes.
