About The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative HR Associate - Organizational Development to join our Human Resources team! In this role, you will help bring employee engagement, learning, and development initiatives to life while supporting a vibrant and inclusive university community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating impactful programs, working with people across an organization, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Reporting to the Manager, Organizational Development and Employee Experience, the HR Associate - Organizational Development supports a wide range of employee engagement and learning initiatives that align with the university’s strategic goals and values. You will play a key role in creating positive employee experiences by coordinating programs and events, supporting learning systems, developing resources and communications, and helping ensure employees have access to engaging and meaningful development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in human resources, organizational development, psychology or a related field of study.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience supporting employee engagement and/or employee learning and development initiatives.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools, including demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing safe, respectful, equitable and inclusive environments.
  • Direct experience in the coordination, development and delivery of employee engagement and/or learning program and supporting materials.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles, learning design and various delivery methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise, engaging and accessible manner.
  • Engaging and inclusive facilitation and presentation skills, both in-person and online.
  • Ability to plan and organize inclusive and accessible in-person and online events.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as an effective team player and build relationships among all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proven ability to identify, recommend, and present creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and achieve results.
  • Proven ability to juggle and prioritize tasks, adhere to deadlines and demands, make responsible decisions and determine when to seek advice.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Training or education related to adult learning is preferred.
  • Public sector and/or post-secondary work experience is preferred.
  • Learning Management System and HR Information System experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
