This position provides high-level administrative, operational, and confidential support to the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), the Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Workforce Equity (HR), and their associated departments. The incumbent performs work of considerable difficulty that requires independent decision-making, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive information in accordance with state and federal regulations, personnel plans, collective bargaining agreements, and institutional procedures. The position ensures that daily operations function smoothly and efficiently by coordinating communications, overseeing/managing department budget activity, managing department workflows, maintaining confidential records, supporting labor relations processes, and facilitating compliance with mandatory training and reporting requirements. The incumbent also serves as the purchasing representative for the division. Finally, this role also serves as the primary supervisor for the HR student workers and oversees their hiring, training and day-to-day work.
