HR and Compliance Coordinator for Senior Care Company

Homewatch CareGivers of Yorba LindaYorba Linda, CA
$60,000 - $75,000Onsite

About The Position

Homewatch CareGivers of Yorba Linda is a growing senior home care company serving seniors and families throughout North Orange County. We're part of a respected national brand — with the systems and standards that come with it — while still being locally owned and run. We're looking for the person who keeps our office and caregiver team running like a clock. This is an in-office HR and operations role. It's not a field position and it's not high-volume cold recruiting. It's the seat for someone who likes getting things done right the first time, takes pride in a clean, audit-ready file, and isn't afraid to have a straight-talk conversation with an employee when it's needed. If you've been an office manager, operations manager, HR coordinator, or staffing/onboarding lead at a home care agency, home health company, skilled nursing facility, assisted living community, or busy medical office, this is right in your wheelhouse.

Requirements

  • Relentlessly organized and actually enjoy checklists, deadlines, and follow-through
  • Home care, home health, senior living, or healthcare-admin/HR experience
  • Can build a solid, no-nonsense relationship with caregivers — and hold a firm line when you need to
  • Have the judgment to make good hiring and employee-relations calls
  • Want a stable, in-office role with a team that has your back — not a high-pressure field or sales seat
  • Willing to participate in the office off-hour emergency phone rotation

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (big plus)

Responsibilities

  • Guide new caregivers through onboarding start to finish — I-9s, W-4s, background checks, and the full stack of state-required paperwork — and make sure every form is done correctly. Keep our online system and hard files organized and audit-ready for the state and our franchisor.
  • Own every deadline — annual trainings, MVRs, CEUs, TB tests. You're the one who won't let anything lapse.
  • Own the caregiver hiring process — interviews, vetting, the final hire/no-hire call, and getting the right people onboarded. You'll have teammates in the room; you're not making these calls alone.
  • Work hand in hand with our payroll provider (Paychex PEO) on caregiver payroll, final checks, unemployment claims, and related filings. You keep the details accurate and on time.
  • Be the day-to-day point person for our caregiver team. Handle the everyday employee issues that come up — from a chronic late arrival to a performance conversation — and keep everyone compliant and supported.
