About The Position

Homewatch CareGivers of Yorba Linda is a growing senior home care company serving seniors and families throughout North Orange County. We are part of a respected national brand, while still being locally owned and run. We are looking for an individual to keep our office and caregiver team running smoothly. This is an in-office HR and operations role, not a field position or high-volume recruiting role. The ideal candidate takes pride in organized, audit-ready files and is comfortable having direct conversations with employees when necessary. Experience as an office manager, operations manager, HR coordinator, or staffing/onboarding lead in a home care agency, home health company, skilled nursing facility, assisted living community, or busy medical office is highly relevant.

Requirements

  • Relentlessly organized with a strong ability to manage checklists, deadlines, and follow-through.
  • Experience in home care, home health, senior living, or healthcare administration/HR.
  • Ability to build solid, professional relationships with caregivers and maintain firm boundaries when necessary.
  • Good judgment for making hiring and employee relations decisions.
  • Willingness to participate in the office off-hour emergency phone rotation.
  • Stable, in-office work preference.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Guide new caregivers through onboarding from start to finish, including I-9s, W-4s, background checks, and state-required paperwork, ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain an organized and audit-ready online system and hard files for state and franchisor compliance.
  • Track and manage all deadlines for annual trainings, MVRs, CEUs, and TB tests to prevent lapses.
  • Oversee the caregiver hiring process, including interviews, vetting, final hiring decisions, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the payroll provider (Paychex PEO) on caregiver payroll, final checks, unemployment claims, and related filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the caregiver team, addressing everyday employee issues such as chronic late arrivals or performance conversations, ensuring compliance and support.
  • Participate in the office off-hour emergency phone rotation.
