Position Summary: Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the human resources department including keeping Workday data accurate and serving as the first point of contact for employees and managers for general Workday questions. Support employee & contractor onboarding, as well as playing a key role in keeping human resources administrative tasks running efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two plus years of human resources experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset when handling sensitive or complex employee questions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
  • Capable of effective planning and priority setting.
  • Ability to independently manage workload.
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday); ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with confidential data and maintaining discretion at all times.
  • Prior experience supporting HR inquiries across multiple locations, business units and organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of benefits contract language.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related major from an accredited public or private academic institution preferred but directly related work experience may be substituted for education requirement.
  • SHRM-CP/PHR certification a plus
  • Workday experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing timely and accurate guidance on topics such as benefits, leave of absence, employment verifications, policies, and procedures; routing tickets to other cross-functional teams and escalation, as needed.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources personnel files, forms or documents.
  • Answers basic employee questions about human resources policies or offerings.
  • Schedules interviews, orientations, or training sessions.
  • Processes employee status changes or benefits enrollments; maintains records of completed transactions.
  • Inputs HR-related data and compiles standard reports for management review.
  • Oversee employee data in Workday HCM, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support and coordinate HR lifecycle activities including job changes, mobility, promotions, and terminations.
  • Partner with Program Managers (e.g., Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition) to support cross-functional HR processes and initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and internal policies.
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports for HR and management.
  • Participate as a tester, gathering system and business requirements, and providing feedback to the HRIS team regarding ticketing trends and process improvement.
  • Assist with HRIS projects (e.g., handbook updates, process documentation, internal tool audits).
  • Work closely with organizational change management to produce end-to-end support and resources in all areas of Workday, including process changes, documentation, and distribution.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally, building strong relationships with employees, managers, cross functional teams, and external vendors.
  • Process timely and accurately all open records requests received from the Legal department by creating reports or extracting appropriate information from HRIS.
  • Analyze data, generate reports, and assist in implementing HR technonlogy soloutions.
  • Develop and administer department Sharepoint intranet site for all HR programs.
  • Maintain accurate department information and work with appropriate team to display the necessary information to create ease of use for the complete employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
