About The Position

Xpress Global Systems (XGS) is seeking an HR Administrator to undertake various HR administrative duties. This role will involve assisting the HR team in their daily activities, acting as a liaison for employees, and ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. The HR Administrator will also assist in the creation of policies, processes, and documents. Ideal candidates will have excellent organizational ability, familiarity with HRIS, strong communication skills, and some experience in the transportation of floorcovering industry. The ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure is essential.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Sit for long periods of time
  • Have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office machines
  • Have a clear and understandable speaking voice for the purposes of telephone communication
  • Have the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Climb stairs
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Have correctable vision and hearing

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred not required
  • Some experience in our industry

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources manager and team
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Recruiting manager and team
  • Compile and update employee records
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities
  • Assist in coordination of HR projects
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
  • Properly assist with handling complaints and grievance procedures
