About The Position

HP and 2020 Companies have partnered to hire a part-time HP retail sales associate to represent HP products at Best Buy stores. The role focuses on driving sales, creating excitement around the HP brand, demonstrating products, and tailoring demonstrations to customers’ needs. The representative builds rapport with customers and professional relationships with store management and employees, maintains clean and functional product displays, trains store associates on HP products and services, and reports sales activity and competitive insights.

The position pays $17.50 per hour, plus a weekly performance bonus of up to $100 based on individual sales performance. It offers up to 15 hours per week, a flexible weekday schedule with some weekends required, and next-day pay on demand through DailyPay. Paid online training and a $25 monthly technology reimbursement are also offered. The role is based at Best Buy 420 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of prior sales, retail, telecom, or marketing experience; the posting also states that one year of job experience is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Outgoing personality, eagerness to learn, and comfort engaging customers and demonstrating products after training.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate HP products in Best Buy stores and tailor demonstrations to customers’ needs.
• Engage customers, build rapport, create a memorable experience, and help them select suitable products and services.
• Sell products and services and meet or exceed personal monthly sales goals and established weekly or monthly quotas.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with store management and employees.
• Train retail store associates on HP products and services.
• Maintain product displays and ensure the work station or kiosk is clean, organized, functional, and presentable.
• Accurately document and report sales and track and communicate activity to Retail Operations.
• Provide product and service information, address customer objections, and connect recommendations to customer needs.
• Submit paperwork completely and accurately.
• Contribute to team efforts and support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
