Housing & Student Services Coordinator
About The Position
The New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) at Touro University is looking for a Housing & Student Services Coordinator to support a broad range of student-facing operations, with primary responsibility for campus housing, student engagement, and new student integration. The position serves as a key point of contact for current and prospective students and works closely with Admissions, Facilities, Security, and other University departments to support a positive and engaging student experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, service-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 1-3 years' experience Of Administrative required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when working with sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to provide direction, guidance, and support.
- Professional demeanor and a positive, service-oriented, attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office 365.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students residing in campus houses (ie The Bridges”).
- Organize, maintain, and monitor student housing contracts.
- Train and meet with Student Resident Assistants.
- Mediate student housing behavior concerns.
- Work with facilities and security to ensure students' safety and comfort.
- Organize and run student housing activities and events (ex: study nights, student socials, move in day, etc).
- Additional student service administrative tasks relating to event coordination, admissions, orientation, and more.
- Work closely with the admissions department with a focus on new student coordination, prospective student engagement, and alumni coordination.
- Proactively follow-up with prospective students and leads via email, phone, and other communication channels with the goal of nurturing leads.
- Maintain organized records of all inquiries and communications in TouroOne Connect.
- Provide timely and accurate information about program, admissions processes, and key dates.
- Work with the Dean of Student Services to coordinate onboarding activities, orientation materials, and communications.
- Monitor and support completion of required documents and onboarding processes for student enrollment.
- Support the development and execution of alumni events, communications, and networking initiatives.
- Maintain student parking records and systems.
