About The Position
Steuben County Department of Social Services Housing Case Manager (HCM) will provide support and services to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and have utilized Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) or Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). The HCM will provide individualized and specialized support to individuals focusing on and obtaining housing. This will include but limited to employment, financial literacy, meeting program expectations, maintaining housing and assisting in barriers they may experience.
Requirements
- Associates degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience working in services for homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong sense of boundaries.
- Valid driver's license and ownership of a motor vehicle.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, or other related social service/science disciplines.
- Two years of experience providing case management services.
Responsibilities
