About The Position

CDAC Behavioral Healthcare is looking for someone to join our Substance Exposed Newborn/Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (SEN/NAS) program into Circuit 2 and 14 (Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Wakulla, Bay Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington). This is NOT a remote position. This program supports families who are experiencing, or at risk for, SEN-NAS. This position does require some travel throughout the service area, including transporting clients, thus the candidate must be living within the Circuit 2 and 14 area counties. Reliable transportation is required. The Housing and Employment Coordinator is responsible for building relationships with community stakeholders, finding resources for housing and employment stabilization, and meeting with clients to assist them in establishing stability in these areas. This position will provide care coordination to address other areas as needed, maintain agency and community relationships, support program reporting and evaluation, and support compliance with all delivery of services in support of the core values and mission of CDAC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience with the Substance Use population and case management field, supporting parents and families, particularly those involved with child welfare or facing complex family challenges.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community resources, and ability to seek resources through varied outreach activities to build relationships with stakeholders in the communities.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based Planning and Brief Solution-Focused Interventions

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in ROSC communities and ROSC Principles, modeling these practices in daily interactions with WFIS staff and community partners.
  • Support Care Coordinators, Care Managers, and clients in achieving housing stability and economic self-sufficiency goals.
  • Meet with clients and care team members to monitor and advance progress toward housing and employability objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain partnerships with regional housing authorities, housing agencies, employment providers, and potential employers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community housing and workforce resources and share relevant information with staff and community partners.
  • Assist clients with applications, resume preparation, and other documentation related to housing and employment.
