About The Position

The Houseperson ensures the Room Attendants' ability to provide service that meets or exceeds our guests' expectations by efficiently executing their duties and responsibilities. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency at the Bahia Resort Hotel, a hospitality leader in San Diego since 1953.

Requirements

• At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
• Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
• Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all public areas impeccably clean by adhering to our department's high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensures Room Attendants have supplies and equipment necessary to perform their job.
• Prepares the linen for shipping and receiving and is responsible for its distribution.
• Maintains property linen rooms and Room Attendants' carts well-stocked and orderly.
• Collects soiled linen from checkout rooms when instructed by Supervisor.
• Performs window cleaning of guestrooms adhering to productivity standards.
• Works in accordance with set safety standards and practices.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
