About The Position

Blue Flame Management is hiring a Houseperson for the Hampton Inn Dupont. The role focuses on collecting and removing soiled linens and trash, maintaining guest common areas and outdoor areas, and supporting laundry and room attendants. The person may also be assigned to vacuum inside corridors. Blue Flame Management operates three hotels on the Northeast side of Fort Wayne: the Hampton Inn Dupont, the Hilton Garden Inn, and Home2 Suites North, which is a dual-property location.

Requirements

Be available to work weekends.
Be able to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
One to two years of experience and knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
Ability to deal with various types of personalities and situations.
Ability to make fast and sound decisions.
Desire to reach perfection.

Responsibilities

Remove and collect soiled linens from rooms, placing them in the laundry chute or delivering them to the assigned area.
Remove and collect room trash and dispose of it according to procedures.
Collect and empty trash receptacles throughout the hotel and in outside areas.
Inspect and clean guest common areas throughout the hotel.
Assist laundry and room attendants with duties as assigned.
Sweep and mop emergency stairwells and landings, and clean railings and exit doors.
Vacuum inside corridors if applicable or assigned.
