About The Position

The Houseperson Staff member assists the housekeeping team with cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests to support outstanding guest service and satisfaction. The role includes maintaining guest and shared areas, handling linen and refuse, reporting maintenance needs, and helping uphold housekeeping standards throughout the property. This position offers on-the-job training and mentorship, with potential pathways for advancement.

Requirements

• Experience in hotels, housekeeping, custodial work, janitorial work, or cleaning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen and supplies on housekeeping carts or in linen rooms.
• Unload soiled linen from rooms and carts and transport it to the laundry area.
• Clean restrooms, meeting areas, and food service areas according to the daily checklist.
• Regularly clean pool, outdoor, and exercise areas for guest use.
• Maintain housekeeping compliance in the Guest Satisfaction Scores program.
• Respond to guests’ special needs and requests.
• Unload trash from housekeeping carts and dispose of refuse.
• Report needed repairs to maintenance.
• Sweep, wax, and deep-clean flooring and carpets throughout the property.
• Clean hotel windows and mirrors.
• Wear the proper uniform in accordance with appearance standards, including a nametag on the right side.
• Perform other duties as assigned that the associate is capable of performing.
