About The Position

The Hotel Houseman maintains hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner to contribute to a pleasant, positive guest experience. The role performs cleaning, floor care, linen handling, supply replenishment, and related tasks throughout guest rooms and hotel work areas. The employee must be able to perform routine or repetitive work and greet guests in a friendly, warm manner.

Requirements

Carpet and tile floor care experience.
Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
Reliability and ability to work independently.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform routine or repetitive tasks.
Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to focus.

Responsibilities

Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Follow Material Safety Data Sheet regulations when using chemicals.
Move and arrange furniture; dust and polish furniture, metalwork, and equipment.
Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
Collect soiled linens for laundering and receive and store linen supplies in the linen closet.
Clean bathrooms and replenish supplies.
Refurnish rooms with supplies, towels, and other required items.
Stock the cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Perform other assigned duties.
